A 13-bedroom, one-story home for sale in Calgary has come under fire from many people on social media.

Located at 167 Whittaker Close NE, the single-story home with just 1,108 square feet of living space is advertised as having 13 bedrooms.
Listed at $500,000, the house has six bedrooms on the main floor and seven bedrooms in the basement. No photos of the interior are listed in the advertisement. Many rooms have minimal living space. The smallest room is only 57 square feet. The ad has received a lot of hateful comments on Reddit. Many asked about its exploitative nature. The size of the rooms shocked many. People even asked if these were bedrooms for ants. Another user took to social media to say that this is extremely disgusting and predatory. Some have compared the bedroom to a prison cell.

Others have questioned the legality of the property, questioning how the 13 bedrooms meet building safety codes. Is the home legally zoned for occupancy? Does it meet fire code? The questions go on and on. Anyway, this post is coming up on reddit just like a good pongala.

City of Calgary officials have responded that the Calgary Fire Department is aware of the property and is investigating compliance with Calgary's land use bylaw and fire and building codes.
